STATE FAIR EXTRAORDINAIRE

We've gone to and loved the State Fair every year since we've lived here. We loved taking Clyde when he was little and watching his awed expressions. It was great fun taking him on the rides and sharing french fries and ice creams. It was with renewed enthusiasm that we shared the fair with our Meredith when she joined our family. And now, we've had the joy of seeing it anew with our Sweet Sofia. What fun!!

Sofia's first look as we came in the gate . . .
Rides: the merry-go-round . . .

. . . fearless on the roller coaster . . .

It was a very hot day, so we stopped for a lemonade.
Sof's Mummy & Daddy indulged us in letting us buy a junk toy for her. She gave consierable thought to shopping and choosing . . .

A little rest . . .

Waiting for the balloon ride . . .

Up high got a big smile from our fearless girl . . .
Sofia and Grandpa went exploring for a bit . . .

The petting zoo was decidedly Sofia's and her Mummy & Daddy's favorite place. . .
Refreshment break . . .

Waiting for the monorail . . .

The monorail takes a trip above and around the fair. Wonderous, colorful sights . . .

A stop for ice cream just before leaving, where the hotly debated issue was, would Sof most like vanilla or chocolate . . .

The answer seemed to be "either one, just let me hold it myself" . . .
Tidying up and heading home . . .
Our great, fun day at the fair was yesterday. Today we've been invited to watch Sofia at her swim lesson. Grandparenting is grand.
