CATCHING UP ON A FEW FUN THINGS

Every year at Christmas, my stocking-stuffer from Clyde is a camping trip to Petaluma. We love the farm-like campground there, the town itself and its proximity to the wine country as well as the coast. It's always our maiden outing of the year, in late April. I have four months of looking forward to this event, and it's a lovely springtime break from the cold weather and rain of winter.

I had a few pictures of our campsite, our favorite doggie park, the coffee shop we frequent most mornings and our trek out to the coast. But, for some unknown reason, my blog refused to post them. So, we're starting here in the middle of our trip on the day we drove out to the ocean:

Pretty little coastal town of Point Reyes . . .

Stopped at Tamales Bay for our picnic . . .

Beautiful countryside drive back to Petaluma . . .

Dinner at our favorite Petaluma restaurant -- lots of character and good authentic Italian food . . .

Home again, we dropped in on Mom to see how pretty her garden is, after hiring a landscaper to prune, weed, restructure and lay down redwood bark . . .

Now Mom can spend her energy on the "fun" part of gardening -- planting pretty flowers . . .

Sofia and Dusty in Grandma Jean's screened patio . . .

Then we visited inside for a bit . . .
At one of our many Starbuck's outings, Sofia and Papa playing . . .

Sofia enjoying a chocolate milk break before a hardy playground romp . . .
Peek-a-boo !!!

Sofia met and chatted with neighbors who were out for a walk . . .

Good-bye, have a great day!
