FIVE GLORIOUS WEEKS IN FORT BRAGG
Noyo Harbor, one of our favorite places to hang out in Fort Bragg: That's not us in the kayaks, but we love to watch all the activity here. Charter boats going in and out twice a day, crabbers, abalone divers, sport fishermen, dogs taking walks, good restaurants and all manner of both bustling and quiet times . . .
Pacific Star Winery is a beautiful, 30-minute drive up the coast highway . . ..JPG)

The Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden is right across the highway from our campground and is another one of our favorite places to walk and picnic . . ..JPG)
. . . begonas love the cool north coast weather and are spectacular . . .
There is a bench by the ocean in the garden that we consider "our's" and we're a bit incensed when someone else is on it when we visit. This day, we had to settle for our second choice, which you can see, isn't really such a bad thing . . .
There are three main places we switch off for our first-thing-in-the-morning walks with Dylan. This is Big River. When we head in the other direction, where the river meets the sea, our walk is along the ocean . . .
Our campsite. Same one every year.
One of the many cute shoppes in the town of Mendocino, just south of Fort Bragg . . .
Our friend Janet's visit. Janet and Frank just recently bought their first RV and we were excited to introduce them to Fort Bragg. Frank wasn't able to join us this time, but Janet was and we had a great time sharing some of our favorite places..JPG)
Fortunately, "our" bench was available for a picnic . . .
This is the house Clyde grew up in, when he was too young to appreciate what a prize Fort Bragg is . . ..JPG)

Jon and Darlene spend a couple of days every summer with us. They're our best wine and extreme bocci buddies . . .
We usually get a pretty even mix of sunny and foggy days, but this year we had mostly clouds and fog. We prefer the sunshine, but this place is beautiful under any circumstance . . .
When Jon and Darlene came to visit, they brought Clyde a birthday wine. We think it says it all!
